Außerdem malt sie Bilder in Grisaille-Technik und schafft großformatige Bleistiftzeichnungen auf Leinwand. Einen Überblick bietet auf 440 Seiten ihr Kunstalbum „Ewa Kwasniewska, Retrospektive 1980-2006“ (ISBN 978-3-89 355-949-7). Als zeitgenössische realistische Malerin steht sie in der Tradition des magischen Realismus, in dem Wirklichkeit, Träume und Fantasien miteinander verschmelzen. Ihre Bilder sind voller melancholischer, mystischer, ironischer oder heiterer, meistens aber doppelbödiger Geschichten. Ihre Landschaftsbilder sind psychologisch fein differenzierte Seelenbilder; sie spiegeln innere Zustände, die überlagernd sowohl bedrückend als auch beruhigend wirken können.
